A Global Movement in its Ninth Year

Giving Tuesday is November 30, 2021

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving and unity that brings communities around the world together to give back. It celebrates generosity by providing people everywhere with an opportunity to give more, give smarter, and give great.

Celebrated on the Tuesday following the widely-recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday celebrates the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

You can celebrate #Giving Tuesday by donating to the Judith Glick Buckman Fund for the Future. You don't have to be a world leader or a billionaire to give back. #GivingTuesday is about ordinary people coming together doing extraordinary things.

No matter your contribution level, we thank you for your support of the JGB Fund for the Future.

Celebrating Women's Voices 2021 Event
Saturday, January 29, 2022, 2-4 pm, via Zoom

Lucy Beard

Featuring Guest Speaker
Lucy Beard
Former Executive Director, Alice Paul Institute

As was the case with the Olympics, we will be holding our CWV 2021 event in 2022.

Our honoree, Lucy Beard, has been part of the Alice Paul Institute since 1994, first as a volunteer, Board of Director and member of
API's first professional staff. Lucy then served as Program Director at Paulsdale, Alice Paul's home in Mount Laurel
which is a National Historic Landmark. She also developed the Alice Paul Girls Leadership Program which now
serves K-12 students in South Jersey, using examples of successful women leaders, past and present, as role models
for their own future career goals. Finally, as Executive Director, Lucy led efforts to raise awareness of Alice Paul's
life and work and to advocate for passage of the Equal Rights Amendment (www.alicepaul.org/).

We will also be joined by Donna Gottardi, owner of My Fair Trade Lady. Her Haddon Heights shop carries
a dazzling array of handmade gifts from around the world (www.myfairtradelady.com/). Eighty percent of fair-trade
items worldwide are created by women so your purchases will support and honor those hard-working artisans.
Donna has generously agreed to rebate a percent of purchases made on a designated day in late April
to the JGB Fund for the Future.

Celebrating Women's Voices
October 2019

Celebrating Women's Voices, the Fund's 2019 fundraiser, was a great success!

Our 2019 recipient of the Celebrating Women's Voices award was Claire Sliney. As a freshman in high school, Claire Sliney co-founded
The Pad Project, a non-profit dedicated to creating and developing global partnerships to end both the stigma surrounding menstruation
and the poverty caused by that stigma. She Executive Produced the Oscar-winning documentary short, "Period. End of Sentence."

Music was provided by pianist Suzzette Ortiz and singer Rene Ginett (http://suzzetteortiz.com/).
Artistic displays were provided by Susan Barnes (www.susanbarnesfineart.com).
