Our 2024 Spring Event – Brunch with Pulitzer Prize Winning Cartoonist, Signe Wilkinson – will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, 10:30a-1pm EST. All are welcome!
Signe Wilkinson, editorial cartoonist for the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Philadelphia Daily News, was the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning. Her work is described as having a “unique style and famous irreverence”.
Signe has also created cartoons for Ms. Magazine, Working Woman, and the Friends Journal. She’s been honored with a Visionary Woman Award from Moore College of Art & Design, four Overseas Press Club Awards and two Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Awards for Cartooning.
In addition to women’s rights topics, Signe has created syndicated daily comic strips about the environment. botanical and political issues. She is the author of Abortion Cartoons on Demand; Free Speech: And Why You Should Give a Damn; One Nation, Under Surveillance; and Herstory: 19 Cartoons in Celebration of the 19th Amendment.

Proceeds from the event will benefit educational programs on the importance of women’s contributions to all segments of American society.
